Coming freshly off a travel channel ‘fish out of water’ assignment that found me in Homer, AK searching for the really big ones. I took a crew to document the winners of a Whirlpool sales contest who won a trip to the Halibut Capital of the World, home to none other that Tom Bodette and Jewel. I discovered the future superstar captains of “The Deadliest Catch” and almost didn’t live to tell about it. I got a call to take over the helm of the highly rated motor sports action show “Steel Dreams.” I couldn’t have been further from the ideal motor head for this but the producers wanted to shake up the show. I dove into the stories behind the bikes, the human drama of the creators of metal dream machines and sought out the icons that made machines interesting for non gear heads as well as the fans who love loud things that go fast.
